Look for new evidence, not just elapsed time.

A stronger reapplication usually shows improvement in one or more areas that likely limited the previous attempt: work impact, leadership, academic signal, networking, case performance, or fit-story clarity.

You do not need a promotion if your responsibilities and measurable results have grown. A major project, stronger recommendation, new leadership role, or demonstrably better interview preparation can all change the profile.

Compare the new application side by side with the old one. If most bullets, stories, and signals are unchanged, you probably need more development before expecting a different outcome.

I have seen this go badly when people keep adding detail after the answer is already clear. Shorter was better in my mocks.
