A stronger profile helps, but if the previous rejection came at the interview stage, reapplying without improving case performance may reproduce the same outcome.
Think of the application and the interview as separate gates. Promotion and stronger projects can materially improve the first gate, while case skill determines whether you convert the opportunity.
If you were rejected before interviews, the resume improvement may be enough to justify trying again. If you failed cases, the higher-value work is proving that the interview weakness has changed.
Before reapplying, identify where the prior process ended and build preparation around that specific gap. You do not need hundreds of new cases, but you should have evidence that the old weakness is no longer the same.
