A late start should not automatically count against you, especially if the interviewer controlled the pace and still completed the assessment.
Interviewers and recruiting teams know that scheduling issues happen. The important question is whether you were given a fair opportunity to demonstrate the required skills, not whether the session matched the planned minute-by-minute agenda.
If the interviewer skipped a section or ended early because of the delay, they may document that internally. If you simply moved through the same material faster and finished the case, the evaluation can still be valid.
Do not complain preemptively about a minor delay. If you believe the shortened interview materially prevented you from completing the case or answering key questions, send recruiting a factual note explaining what happened.
