Sometimes interviewers interrupt with a narrower question before I finish my original answer. Should I stop immediately and answer the new question, or finish the thought I was making first so the response does not feel incomplete?
If the interviewer changes the question, that is probably the signal to move on.
Sometimes I keep replaying an answer in my head after the interviewer has already moved on. If I realize later that I misunderstood or gave a weak fit answer, should I try to correct it during the interview or just focus on the rest?
Mayank G.CoachUsually, do not interrupt the flow just to rewrite an earlier answer in your head. A single imperfect fit response is rarely helped by repeatedly revisiting it.
My normal case prep is going fine but I don’t know what to practise for the new AI avatar conversation. I’m worried I’ll sound robotic or freeze when the client says something unexpected. What would you focus on?

There are so many different AI interview terms now. I read about Lilli earlier this year, and now people are talking about an avatar client. Are these two names for the same interview?
Mayank G.CoachThey should not be treated as interchangeable. In the avatar pilot, AI plays a simulated client that you converse with. Lilli is McKinsey’s internal AI platform, and separate reporting has described candidate exercises involving that platform.
