Think of a case interview as a structured conversation where you clarify the problem, organize an approach, analyze information, and recommend what the client should do.
The interviewer gives you a business problem and additional information as the case progresses. Your job is to show how you think, not simply arrive at a final number.
A typical flow could include clarifying the objective, presenting a structure, working through data or calculations, generating ideas, and then synthesizing the answer into a recommendation.
Start by watching or reading one complete case from beginning to end so the flow is familiar. Then practice each component separately before attempting several full cases. Keep a short note of what improved and what still broke so the next practice session has a clear purpose. Related CaseBasix guide: https://www.casebasix.com/pages/case-interview
