A startup internship is not automatically weaker. Recruiters care about what you did, the level of responsibility you had and whether the experience produced credible evidence of impact.
A large brand can make context easier to understand, but a startup may give you broader ownership, faster decisions and more direct exposure to senior people or customers.
The risk is presenting a vague startup role with no clear scope. Explain the problem, your actions, the scale and the result so the reader does not have to guess why the experience mattered.
Choose the internship based on learning and responsibility first, then make the resume bullet specific enough that the value is obvious without relying on company recognition. For more detail, see the consulting resume guide.
