Generic numerical-reasoning tests can help with underlying skills such as percentages, ratios, chart reading, and working accurately under time pressure. They are useful when those fundamentals are weak.

Their limitation is format. Consulting assessments may combine business judgment, data interpretation, game mechanics, or firm-specific question styles that generic tests do not reproduce.

Use generic tests to train the skill, then shift toward the actual assessment format as the test date approaches. The closer you get, the more specific the practice should become.
