Case competitions can strengthen a Master's consulting application when you can explain what you actually contributed.

Recruiters are usually more interested in problem solving, teamwork and measurable decisions than the competition name by itself. Participation is weaker evidence than a strong contribution or result.

Instead of writing only 'case competition finalist,' describe the market analysis you owned, recommendation you shaped or presentation you delivered under time pressure.

Include one or two meaningful case competitions if they are among your strongest experiences. When how to present case competitions on your resume, emphasize what you personally did, the trade-offs you made, and the impact, rather than listing participation alone.
