Treat location as a real part of the career decision. MBB experience can create future mobility, but transfers are not guaranteed and two years in a city you dislike is still two years of your life.

Compare the opportunity difference between offices with the personal cost of the location. If the professional gap is modest, location fit may deserve more weight.

Do not choose a city you would never accept just because you believe the odds are slightly better.
