Common exits after two years include corporate strategy, operations, product, growth, finance, startups and graduate school, while some analysts stay for promotion. The specific opportunities depend heavily on what projects, industries and skills you built.
Consulting does not automatically give you every exit. A candidate who worked mostly on healthcare strategy will usually have a different set of credible next steps from someone who did digital implementation or private-equity diligence.
The useful question is not only 'what exits exist?' but 'which exits am I building evidence for?' Project selection, mentors and the stories on your resume influence that more than the consulting brand by itself.
If you already have a likely direction in mind, seek projects that build the relevant experience. If you do not, use the first two years to test different problem types before narrowing.
