Use an info session to learn things that are difficult to get from the website. Good questions focus on office differences, project staffing, training, current work and what surprised consultants after joining.
Avoid asking broad questions such as 'What is the culture like?' without context. A better version is to ask for a recent example of how teams work, how feedback happens or how analysts get staffed.
You also do not need to ask twenty questions. One thoughtful question followed by a short conversation afterward is usually more valuable than trying to be the most visible person in the room.
Go in with two or three exact questions you can use if they have not already been answered. For example: "How are first-year analysts typically staffed in this office?", "What does feedback look like between formal review cycles?", and "What kinds of projects have increased most in this office over the past year?" Those questions are specific enough to produce useful answers without sounding performative. For more detail, see the consulting coffee chat guide.
