Several years in industry do not translate automatically into a particular consulting title.
The proposed level depends on the firm, office, years of relevant responsibility and whether you bring scarce functional or sector expertise.
A manager with six years of highly relevant experience could enter differently from someone with the same tenure in an unrelated role. Ask what scope, client ownership and supervision correspond to the proposed level, not only which title appears in an offer.
Ask recruiting what responsibilities, client ownership and team leadership are expected at the proposed grade. Use the consulting career path to frame the discussion, but judge a role by its actual scope rather than trying to convert your industry title mechanically.
