Sometimes a case feels like it points one way, then the interviewer gives one last piece of information right before the recommendation. Is it okay to reverse the direction of the answer that late?

I know I need a final recommendation, but I am less clear on when to summarize during the middle of a case. When is a mini-synthesis useful, and when does it just interrupt the flow?
Mayank G.CoachUse a mini-synthesis when the case has reached a meaningful turning point: after a major exhibit, after completing one branch, or when the new evidence changes what you should investigate next.
I sometimes identify the right insight from the data but jump straight to what the client should do. How do I keep an insight separate from a recommendation so the logic is clearer?
Mayank G.CoachAn insight explains what the evidence means. A recommendation is the action you want the client to take because of that insight and the broader case context.
Some mocks end while there are still unresolved issues. I find it hard to sound decisive when the analysis is incomplete. How should I structure a final recommendation when I know there are important things we have not tested?
Mayank G.CoachYou can still make a recommendation when the analysis is incomplete, but you need to separate what you know from what remains uncertain. Decisive does not mean pretending every question is closed.
