Consulting firms usually look for a combination of strong academics, relevant experience, leadership, and evidence that you can create impact. The resume does not need to be filled with famous company names, but each experience should show what you actually did and what changed because of your work.
For each bullet, focus on your contribution, the result, and the scale where possible. Quantifying impact helps, but only when the number is meaningful. Recruiters are also looking for signs of problem solving, ownership, teamwork, and progression.
Keep the format simple and easy to scan. A strong consulting resume should make your strongest achievements obvious within a few seconds rather than making the recruiter work to understand your experience.
If your background is less traditional, do not try to make it sound like consulting. Instead, translate your experience into the skills consulting firms care about and make the impact as concrete as possible.
