For the written summary part of BCG Casey, should I repeat the math I used to reach the answer, or focus on the recommendation and the evidence behind it?
I would include the key number, not a mini math transcript.
In a practice Casey I realized halfway through that one of my earlier assumptions was probably weak. I was not sure whether changing it would make my answers inconsistent. If you catch a bad assumption later, is it better to correct course or stick with the original logic?
Mayank G.CoachCorrect the assumption when you have a good reason to do so. Consistency is not valuable if it means knowingly continuing with weak logic.
I tend to take a lot of notes during Casey because I am afraid I will need a number later. The problem is that my page gets messy and I lose time copying information. Is there a better rule for deciding what is worth writing down?
Mayank G.CoachWrite down the numbers and relationships that are likely to matter again, not every value you see on the screen.
I went to take Casey and the link now says the assessment window has closed. I misunderstood the deadline and thought I had another day. Is it worth emailing recruiting immediately, or is a missed Casey deadline normally final?
Mayank G.CoachEmail recruiting immediately. Missing the assessment deadline is serious, but a prompt explanation gives the firm the best chance to determine whether the link can be reopened.
