First, separate the parts of the funnel. If you are not getting interviews, the immediate problem is application strength and access. If you are getting interviews but not progressing, the problem is more likely interview performance.
Stop rewriting everything every day. Use one strong resume, targeted networking, and a clear application calendar. The goal is to identify the highest-value gap rather than constantly changing direction.
Then protect your interview preparation. Anxiety often pushes candidates into random high-volume casing, which can make performance worse. Practice deliberately: one or two specific skills per case, strong feedback, and enough repetition to make your process stable.
Finally, recruit beyond one firm or one prestige tier. A bad week in one funnel does not define the whole consulting market. Your goal is to maximize the number of credible opportunities while keeping your performance strong enough to convert them.
