My R1 schedule only shows one interviewer and one case slot. Most prep guides make it sound like first round always has multiple interviews. Should I expect another case to be added later, or can one case be the whole round?
Sometimes I realize after the first minute that one of my main buckets does not really address the client objective. In a first-round case, should I stop and fix the structure explicitly or keep going and adjust quietly as the case develops?
Mayank G.CoachIf you realize the structure is materially off, correct it rather than pretending the original framework still works.
I naturally take notes while someone is speaking, but I worry that I might miss part of a long case prompt if I am writing too much. Is it fine to take notes throughout the prompt, or should I listen first and write afterward?
Mayank G.CoachYes, taking notes during the prompt is normal, but listening still has priority over producing perfect notes.
When I get a dense chart, I sometimes need a little time to read the axes and work out the main message. In a first-round interview, is it okay to explicitly ask for 20 or 30 seconds to think before I start talking?
Mayank G.CoachYes. Taking 20 or 30 seconds to read a dense exhibit is completely reasonable if you use the time productively.
