Interviewers may challenge a good answer to test conviction, adaptability, or how you handle disagreement. Pushback does not automatically mean the answer is wrong.
Before changing your view, ask yourself whether the interviewer has provided new evidence or is simply questioning the assumption. If there is no new evidence, defend the logic calmly and acknowledge uncertainty where appropriate.
A strong response is neither stubborn nor instantly compliant. Explain what would make you change your mind and what evidence currently supports your position. If useful, this guide on staying calm under pressure in a case interview gives more detail.
