Do not assume the round is over after one weak interview. Multi-interviewer processes exist partly because firms want more than one observation before making a decision.
You also may not be judging the first interview accurately. Candidates often fixate on one math mistake or awkward moment while the interviewer evaluates the full performance across structure, analysis, communication, and recovery.
Between interviews, reset rather than replaying every detail. Write down one practical correction if needed, then start the second interview as a fresh evaluation. Carrying frustration into the next case is more damaging than the original mistake.
Your job is to maximize the next interview, not predict the decision mid-round. The case interview guide can help you focus on the skills that matter across both cases.
