Lead with the story that is most relevant to the client objective and best supported by the exhibit. You can mention the second pattern as a qualifier or secondary insight.
Listing both trends with equal weight can sound descriptive rather than analytical. Your job is to decide which one changes the case most.
For example, if revenue is growing but margin is collapsing, the margin story may be more important in a profitability case even though growth is visually prominent.
State the primary insight, explain why it matters, then add the secondary pattern if it changes the implication. Relevance should determine the order. If both stories matter, rank them explicitly and explain the relationship between them instead of presenting two disconnected observations from the same chart. For more detail, see the case interview data-analysis guide.
