A 9th-decile Solve result is strong, but Solve is not the only component of the interview decision. McKinsey also evaluates the application itself, including experience, academics, resume strength, and the competitiveness of the applicant pool.

A candidate can receive an interview with a 9th-decile score, and a high Solve score does not guarantee an interview by itself.

Treat the score as one positive data point rather than a final admissions result. If the application is still under review, the more useful next step is to prepare for interviews rather than trying to infer the decision from one decile.

9th is still strong. I wouldn't assume you need 10th.

Solve is only one piece. strong score can still = no int if rest of app isn't competitive.
