Sponsorship is realistic, but it is not equally easy across all countries, offices, and candidate profiles. Some offices are much more accustomed to sponsoring than others, and local hiring needs can matter a lot.
In practice, your odds improve when you target offices that regularly hire internationally and when your profile gives the office a clear reason to invest in the sponsorship process. That could be language skills, educational background, prior work authorization timing, or simply very strong overall candidacy.
So do not self-reject too early. Just be realistic that office selection and timing matter more for international applicants than for domestic ones.
