There is no single weekly number, but post-MBA consulting is generally a demanding full-time job with meaningful variation by project.

Some weeks may be relatively manageable, while intense client deadlines can push hours much higher. Travel, early meetings and evening team work can also make the week feel longer than the raw hours suggest.

Your role after an MBA usually comes with more ownership than an entry-level analyst role, so the workload is not only about doing more tasks. You are also coordinating workstreams, communicating with clients and helping manage junior team members.

When comparing offers, ask people in the specific office and practice about typical team norms, protected time and how often truly difficult weeks occur. Firm averages matter less than the environment you are likely to join.
