Treat pushback as new information, not as a personal challenge. Your job is to test whether the criticism changes your conclusion.
If your logic still holds, explain why calmly. If the interviewer exposes a real weakness, update the answer explicitly rather than pretending you meant something else. Both behaviors show maturity.
The mistake is reacting emotionally to the pressure. Strong candidates can change their minds without looking lost and can defend a sound position without becoming rigid.
