A strong 'Why consulting?' answer at 21 should sound like a decision you reached from actual experiences, not a memorized list of industry benefits. Generic points like smart people, variety and problem solving need evidence behind them.
Choose two or three reasons and connect each one to something you have done: a project you enjoyed, a fast-moving team, an ambiguous problem or an experience where you liked presenting recommendations.
Then explain why consulting fits better than your realistic alternatives. If you are also considering banking or tech, showing that you understand the tradeoff makes the answer more credible.
Keep it conversational and concise. The interviewer should hear a clear personal logic and still have room to ask follow-up questions rather than listening to a polished two-minute speech.
