A strong Master's can create a new recruiting opportunity, especially if the program has established consulting access, but it is not a complete reset. Recruiters can still see your undergraduate record and prior experience.
The value comes from what you build during the degree: stronger academics, consulting-relevant internships, leadership, networking, and access to a better recruiting channel.
The degree is most useful when it changes both your profile and your access. If you attend a strong program but leave with the same weak experience and no consulting relationships, the incremental value is much smaller.
Evaluate the program based on actual placement, recruiting access, cost, and alternative career value, not only on whether the MBB logo appears on the employment report.
