Look for wording that goes beyond the data, assumes something not stated, or answers a slightly different question. Those are common reasons a tempting option is still weaker.

Set a time limit in practice for the final choice. If additional thinking is not producing new evidence, commit and move on rather than repeatedly reopening the decision.
