Do not reduce final-round preparation to fit. Senior interviewers may run interviews more conversationally, but they can still test case skills, judgment, synthesis, and how you respond when the discussion becomes less scripted.
What often changes is the style rather than the importance. A partner may push on your assumptions, jump between topics, or spend more time on your motivation and experiences. You still need a strong problem-solving foundation.
Prepare both sides: crisp fit stories and enough case practice that you can handle a less predictable format. Do not assume a friendly conversation means the analytical bar disappeared.
Treat R2 as a broader judgment round, not a different exam. Keep case skills sharp while improving executive communication and personal fit. See the case interview guide for the core case skills.
