Make the referrer's job easy: send a short factual summary they can adapt, not a glowing endorsement written in their voice.
Include your current role or degree, the position and office you are applying to, and two or three concrete points that explain why your background is relevant. Keep it skimmable.
For example, you might mention a distinctive analytical project, leadership experience and why you are interested in that office. Avoid claims like "exceptional candidate" or "top performer" unless the referrer independently wants to say that.
Send the blurb together with your final resume and the exact role information. If you are still building the relationship, the consulting coffee chat guide is useful context for keeping the interaction professional rather than transactional.
